maybe this will help- 1 source for chords is Alan Lomax's folk songs ofnorth america, it is song #82 (p.164) and called "lily munroe." the lyrics are almost identical to those found on the DT search site, and attributed to a Joan Baez performance. the chords are as follows: Dm Dm Am Dm Am F C Dm C Dm C Dm

I also have sheet music with melody and chords to a version with identical lyrics to the DT #331 version. A friend shared this with me and i am trying to track down the book it came from. The song in this version is titled "Jackaroe", and is on page 80 of the book it was copied from. At the top of the page there is a little background about this song genre, a picture of the woman holding her wounded lover, and the following items: Key: D minor, Capo: 5th, Play: A minor (Laws N 7)

The chords are given as follows (a dash - means hold same chord for another measure) I'm not sure why they give the alternate key chords, we've been playing the A minor version without a capo:

Em(Am) G(C) - B(E7) - Em(Am) G(C) C(F) G(C) Em(Am) B(E7) Em(Am) -
