Chongo has enthusiastically embraced the support of Bonobos United for Equal Simian Representation, declaring, "I never met a Bonobo I didn't...(throat clearing sound)...like."

This unexpected endorsement from the Bonobos has given a boost to Chongo's ratings which have now climbed back to 12 and a half per cent.

Meanwhile, Chongo has hastened to repair relations with the monkey community nationwide, posing in a multimedia photo-op in downtown Chicago alongside a barrel of enthusiastic monkeys, all of whom are waving little "Bongo with Chongo!" flags.
