I once had a Gibson B-25 which seemed to prefer different strings than my other guitars. I'm not quite sure but I seem to remember that they were D'Addario Bronze, as opposed to D'Addario Phonsphor-Bronze which I normally play. Same was true of a "lawsuit" Takamine.

Guitars can be fussy about strings, though most of my current lot are pleased with D'Addario Phosphor-Bronze, which is nice because they're reasonbly inexpensive and readily found.

At any rate, I'm glad you're happy with your mate, true love is hard to find.
