Having tried just about every brand of string over the past 45 years I've settled on Newtone Heritages for one of my guitars (000-size), Rohrbacher nickel-titaniums on my 0/parlour size one and Savarez Alliance HTs on my classical. All of these are in the upper price range but last very well. Most of my previous guitars seem to have been happiest with specific brands of string which seems to bear out the comments in this thread.
