Like Redsnapper, I've found different guitars like different strings. I used Martin strings once-upon-a-time, but often had the balls snap off, and also they were terrific for about two hours, then dead for about 7, and then fairly good again for a few days.
If I was pro I might consider them again, but you'd have to time your gigs to the good period.
These were the silver-plated strings. Did anyone else have similar findings?
