Melissa, S&S are about a couple of bucks more expensive than PB sets as I recall. I used them to take a sort of metallic edge off a H&D dread which I no longer own. They give a different, lighter feel due to lower tension and you'll have to judge the sound for yourself. I'm kind of interested in these new Silk and Bronze that John Pearse makes.
