Although I am a banjo player, I also own, and play, several guitars. I bought an Ovation Folklore (short neck) in 1982, and have always found it a superb sounding guitar which produces its acoustic sound almost perfectly when plugged in. It compares very favourably with my Lakewood, which I have to admit, is my favourite , maimly because its more comfortable to hold. It seem to me that its fashionable to knock Ovations, but I contend that they are fine instruments provided you avoid all the cheap copies. Keep Pickin' Pete
