If you've time to spare, it's worth crossing the road (scroll south on the map), and walking down the estuary to the bay. There's the ruins of Pennard castle looking down on you, and the area behind (Sandy Lane) it is interesting, too. It's an old holiday camp that was taken over 30 or so years ago by squatters, who are now firmly established. Their horses will be on the common with their foals in June, lots of Aaah-factor.
