There was nothing hateful in the speech given by Reverend Wright. People who are intent on spreading hate are selectively excerpting Wright's words for the purpose of making people believe that his speech is hateful.

But when the words are heard in the longer context, they are not hateful at all. Reverend Wright was appealing to the better natures of the people in his congregation and exhorting them to look within and examine their own relationship with God rather than sinking to the level of killing innocent people in revenge for what happened on 9/11. This is the opposite of spreading hate. It is the people who are distorting his message who are spreading hate, Rabbi Sol. That would mean that it is the people you are getting your information from who are spreading hate, not the Reverent Wright.
