To be honest, I don't know.
If I set it to update daily, it falls off after about a month. If I disable the daily updates and start them myself, it falls off after a month, except when it falls off after 10 days (which I thought was some kind of record, even for me!)
I use the windows firewall, which seems to be OK, to the extent that when a friend sent an e mail that only displayed a blank box with a cross in it, she asked if I had a chastity belt on this thing!
