Yeah, no doubt. She didn't know it was happening at the time...she only knew she couldn't get any radio airplay in North America any longer, despite the many enthusiastic fans who were coming to her live shows. She basically had to shift her marketing efforts to Europe and the Far East in order to keep her career viable...she was not being blacklisted there...only in the USA...and in Canada (!). Apparently the long arm of the US government was able to reach the Canadian broadcasters although they had no legal right to do so.
