There was a wonderful Canadian production with Heath Lamberts from the Shaw Festival, which was by far the best I have seen (and I have seen lots!) and better than the films (the Depardieu one is not bad, except the last part doesn't really work). I have no idea if the Lamberts is available (it was shown on television).
I imagine Kevin Kline and Jennifer Garner would be sublime. Kline has just the right sardonic, witty side.
