Thread Name: Lyr Req: Hank's Centennial Travels (Hank Rivers)
Subject: Lyr Req: Hank Rivers song
Titled "Hanks Centennial Travels"

This song I first heard during the Expo 67 song contest here in Canada. The song that won was: "Canada, We Love You" and so on. However, the song that I was pulling for was the above and some of the verses went like this.

I roamed this wide country boy both near and far,
Where ever i travel I take my guitar.
From the coast of Vancouver I looked all around,
Watched them play football in Edmonton town.

Another verse was;

In old Montreal I arrived one bright morn,
Not very far boy from where I was born.
I watched them play hockey not so long ago,
I shook the hand of Big Jean Béliveau.

There are many more verses and they cover all the province of Canada.
