I did some researching and it turns out that to get the same amount of light out of candles as it does for a typical 60 watt light bulb we would put nearly 20 times more Carbon off gases into the air. How exactly does this reduce our carbon footprint?

I would like to do something useful for the environment, I don't think this is really going to help.

As I said, one thing a lot of us can do is turn down our thermostat where we have one by a degree or more.

The winter just gone, I usually had the heating off altogether, and took to wearing a hat around the place, with socks at night.

And keeping the fridge as nearly full as possible at all times reduces its consumption of energy.

All of this didn't half make a diference to my energy bills.
