Work is going through a really heavy phase at the moment and I desparately need to get away. It looks as if I might be able to take a couple of days off midweek in about three weeks. Anyone got any ideas where to go.

Criteria

Easy to get to by public transport from Sheffield

A good tune with a bit of singing session on a Tuesday or Wed night which would welcome someone to just drop in and possibly do a couple of songs if that's ok but listening is good. (Irish , Scottish but a good mix appreciated).
Cheap accomodation ( Hostel perhaps)
Stuff to look at during the day - Museums, Art Galleries, Castles, bit of countryside, bit of walking - just enough to keep my mind off work)

I'm sure that you can come up with some wonderful suggestions.

( Actually Sheffield meets all the criteria - but I'm already here so it doesn't count as getting away)
