Why do you care if an 8 year old loads the dishwasher "wrong?" How about just saying everyone has their preferred way of loading a dishwasher, I do it one way, your mother, God bless her soul, does it another. You will have your way. Do it however you want, but I will be checking for a while to make sure they are clean when they come out and don't run it until they are 2/3 full or whatever...
