Teribus usually understands nothing, and this is another example. He appears to love the glory of war until it suits him to mourn some (but only some) of its dead. My point was that both vessels sank, if the location of one was not known then the locations of both were not known, and the dead both German and Australian had as unquiet graves as each other.
