He played Long John Silver in the Ted Turner production version of Treasure Island. It was a surprisingly subtle performance. The name I use in the band (Long John Skivee) was prompted by this film.
Although "Bowling For Columbine" made some good points, I think that Moore's treatment of Heston was unworthy.
