IMHO Mr. Heston was a top rate actor. He drew upon the dynamic that was himself.

Heston walked with MLK and has supported ALL the rights enumerated in our U.S. Constitution. He understood, as the founding fathers understood, you don't have the First Amendment without the support of the Second Amendment.

Good men abhor the thought of taking another's life. They make laws to criminalize murder and to deal with the aftermath of murder. And while good men hate the thought of taking lives the wise man understands that there ARE murders about and being armed is both a deterent and a remedy for murderous assualt. Charelton Heston was both a good and a wise man. God bless him and he will rest in peace.
