Heston was an accomplished celebrated actor first and foremost. In his later years he spoke openly in the defence of the rights of those who wish to own a firearm. There are those who oppose this viewpoint and clearly they think their views take president over others, well they don't.

A gun is like a lot of things, it can be dangerous in the hands of an idiot. A car falls into that class too, as does the contents of the average kitchen drawer.

Once you express an opinion on a thread here as I did here regarding my admiration for Heston's stance, you get called a troll. Call me it all day if you want, it won't change my opinion.I only wish we had such an individual in the UK to speak for the responsible gun owners.
