Cape Breton's single malt Glenora Distillery has been told by the courts that the word "GLEN" can not be used on it's product because it is exclusive to Scotland.
Now the word "glen" derives from the Gaelic and means a narrow deep valley. While there are many glens in Scotland there are many as well in Cape Breton and even more in Ireland. Since the Scots carried the language of the gods from Ireland to Scotland there would have been "glens" there eons before there were any (by that name) in Scotland.
   The Glenora Distillery is owned and operated in a part of the world where the language survives but that seems to have been ignored in this stupid decision.
