The Egyptian reading public went into a feeding frenzy. At least six books on Diana appeared in short order, with such giveaway titles as: "Did She Die a Muslim?", "Diana's Conversion to Islam" and "The Assassination of a Princess".

For women: Clothing...1st Requirement: What parts of the body are to be covered: The first bit of guidance given in Islam describes the parts of the body which must be covered in public.
In general, standards of modesty call for a woman to cover her body, particularly her chest. The Qur'an calls for women to "draw their coverings over their chests," and the Prophet Muhammad instructed believing women to cover their bodies except for their face and hands. Most Muslims interpret this to require headcoverings for women. Some Muslim women cover the entire body, including the face and/or hands.

How better to hide than to cover up when in public. Did she know anyone who might change her facial appearance, a surgeon in Paris perhaps?

I'm not convinced yet, I'm afraid. Matters not to me but anything is possible. This is the 21st Centuary.
