We're in the U.S. My wife, type 1 for 50 years, went on this regime a couple of years ago. Until a few weeks ago, she was able to maintain the best glucose control she ever had, and had never gone anywhere near so long without an insulin reaction. Then everything fell apart, for no reason anyone can determine yet, and she had a very bad couple of weeks, with blood sugar all over the place and a call to Emergency Medical when I kept feeding her glucose tablets but couldn't bring her out of a reaction.
