Injuries from firearms are the fourth leading cause of accidental death for children between the ages of 5 and 14. A youngster between the ages of 10 and 19 commits suicide with a handgun every six hours. Hospital emergency rooms treat four kids for gunshot wounds for every one that is killed by gunfire."
