Drom is Romanes for 'road'.... I adapted a poem a few years ago called "O Drom si Baro" / The Road is Long... (Baro can also mean great or large) taken from a book written by Ronald Lee in the early '70's called 'Goddamn Gypsy'. He's a Canadian Rom living in Ontario, longtime activist, advocate and educator. I've learned much from him and have acompanied him in a few shows of Trad. Romani music. He has a small band called
