As for lurking, how could anybody know if there are people who come and never post? Frankly, I doubt it. People would either want to join in the social life of the Mudcat or they would go elsewhere.

As for Bobert, when you've been on the Mudcat a while, you come to know people. Bobert is clearly a decent sort, intelligent and observant, even if he can't spell.

He would be a good person to be stranded on a desert island with.
