my friend and big fan of ours sat in the audience watching our performance.she had all our tapes,cd's,photos...u name it!!she knew all our songs by heart.she never missed a note ,singin along wth us!reminded me of a teenager watching their rock idol on stage!!!then we finished,she came over..hugged my neck...she had been sick for sometime....told me how much our music meant to her,the happiness,the inspiration she treasured from our gospel songs.....i thanked her,hugged her neck,too!then she whispered in my ear.."chuck,i'm dying!..."god!!why did she tell me that!why mess up my good time!!...then ,after gathering my thoughts,wipeing my eyes,i bowed my head...said prayer and ask god,"please make me be this happy when i know my time is not going to be long here anymore!!!"
