Ahoy from way over here!

The Northwest Seaport holds monthly chantey-sings and maritime music concerts (www.nwseaport.org). The Tall Ships will be visiting Tacoma over the July 4th weekend. I've been working with the organizers rounding up all the local maritime musicians. Unfortunately, today was the cut-off date for application, but the promoters made it clear they wanted martime music and not cover bands at the festival

There's also the Port Gamble Maritime Music Festival, August 16th. Port Gamble is a New England seaside town built on the Puget Sound. They have a web site but the url escapes me at the moment

As for songwriters, there's Mary Garvey, Tom Lewis, Tom May, Teresa & Phillp Morgan, meself, and a host of others. And singers? Jeez. The list grows when you take in Chantey-Camp created & run by Hank Cramer. And yes, the Washington State Parks is involved and there'll be a one day chantey workshop held in November near Astoria OR.

And Hey! What about our own Charley Noble?
