It rather seems that you have a dilemma

The Picture drome may well be great for "big" acts attracting good crowds

However I can only suspect that the ones you are turning down are good but do not attract "big" audiences and which may be best suited to a more informal Folk Club room and setting

There are indeed many folk acts looking for gigs on a more commercial basis ~ if that is the sort of thing you are looking for then you need a nucleus of knowledgeable folk persons to actually "run" the night or even an "anchor" person who is local
