If the US would rethink it's value as food producers and retool toward realizing it's potential, much like the NASA in the 60's, the US could muscle it's way outta it's trade deficit, create lots of jobs and be looked upon as one of the good guys... I understand drought... I also understand that if Romans could divert available water hundreds of miles some 3000 years ago than a country that has put men on the moon has no excuse for not being able to convert and divert flood water into irrigation...
