That was the town that bloomed on the absinthe trade back in the 1880's. They had a plant at first, just behind the yarrow grove there, and the town gradually grew up behind the plant as it prospered, until all the trees were gone, replaced with stores and homes. They regretted it, because it had been a beautiful grove, but they just shrugged their shoulders and told each other, "Absinthe made the yarrow grove Fonda."
