I have seen a double bass played via bicycle pedals moving the bow and I assume one hand for the notes. The musician - I thought it was Nathan Abshire or Austin Pitre but they don't look the part.
The picture was on a Cajun LP cover he had a second instrument.
Does this ring any bells?
Now there is a one handed instrument - even though hand bells are usually used in pairs.
