Laura,

I have nothing to add to any collection - just recollections.
I overlapped with Tony at Exeter School, where he was already a well regarded vocalist and musician.
Best moment was at a Music Society meeting (normally held on Saturday evenings after morning lessons and any school sport matches). Run by a Classics master who didn't stray far from fairly classical renditions. That was fine - and Tony appreciated and interpreted those roots as his Oxford Choral Scholarship proved. On this particular evening, it was a "members choice" session. Tony produced a Big Bill Broonzy LP (yes - it was that long ago!). Two tracks were enough for the master to realise that he had another commitment...
True folk was already there, but there was and is always an overlap between different music from the people's level.
Also shared a stage at some early skiffle / folk sessions at other peoples' parties. Good fun, but no doubt who made things come together.
As so often, lost contact. Almost got to a gig in Hampshire, but at the time was travelling a lot on business and missed out.
Was very sad to learn that Tony was no longer with us.
Hope the compilation goes well.
