It might be interesting to count how many times a particular group or individual has been posted in this thread. ;~)

There are evidently parts of the U.S. that are not represented by a resident sea music group. No one has posted anyone from Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, or Idaho. But I'm sure there's some resident group of piratical singers who regale folks around the Great Salt Lake in Nevada.

I'm happy to see the Great Lakes well represented by Les Murdock. I'm less convinced that Mustard's retreat is a sea music band, even after hearing them featured at the Mystic Sea Music Festival. Does the duo Privateer still exist in the Chicago area? And does Hoolie still exist in Bay City, Michigan?

I don't believe anyone has mentioned George Ward from Vermont who will be featured at Mystic this year.

No candidates from Rhode Island? Well, I nominate Jon Campbell, famed for composing such nautical ditties as "Keep on Fishing," "Catch and Release," and "Tangueray Martini-O."

Cheerily,
