Mark,
Just a little story.

Paul Durst told me he and a hobo named Whitey were jumping a freight near the yards at Missoula when Whitey fell under the train and was killed. I've no idea what year that might've been. After that, if Paul was alluding to the song "Wabash Cannonball" he always put
Whitey's name into one verse -- just to remember him.

Here's to Montana Whitey--may his name forever stand,
And always be remembered by the 'bos across the land,
When his earthly days are over and the curtains round him fall,
We'll carry him home to victory on the Wabash cannonball.

Those are the set of words for that song I put on my CD called "That's The Ticket" with sandy at Folk Legacy Records.

I do bet it will feel great for ya to get back to Montana!

All the best,

Art Thieme
