Official word arrived in the mail today in the form of the nicest rejection letter I've ever received. Truth be told, I wasn't sure I wanted the job in the first place and was pretty certain I didn't after the interview. Thus, it was with a bit of relief that I learned that a former co-worker who was a bit more qualified got the job. I learned unofficially that I was #2 in the running and that if Bryan had declined the job, it would have been offered to me. Bryan leaves a year-round job that I would love, but probably wouldn't get. I'm going for it as soon as it's posted anyway. So, glass is very much half full here.
