I always thought that you became a pensioner when you drew your Old Age Pension, which, here in the UK happens when you reach 60, if a woman or 65 if a man.

However at many festivals you are not eligible for concessions unless you are over 65?

Is there any logic in this?

If the idea is that pensioners will be helped to attend festivals given the rising prices, then all pensioners should be eligible regardless of age.

Why should I be discriminated against just because I'm a woman.
