moonchild, I think I must owe you an apology. Please accept this one. I certainly didn't mean to start any religious debate or demean anyone's beliefs. I just thought my post about singing gospel tunes only after being too drunk to play was a trifle insensitive to those people for whom the music has deep personal meaning.

I think everyone should feel free to sing any song they like and I have never wanted to know the religious or spiritual beliefs of a singer, or of a friend for that matter. I've always just celebrated the diversity of human kind. In the words of the old bluegrass gospel tune:

The road is rough, the way is long,
But we'll help each other over,
You go to your church and I'll go to mine,
But, let's walk along together.
