Best wishes with it Linn, really hope it works out. Your approach was that of honesty. Here in the UK the norm is to sign on sickness benefit first, NOT unemployment. Illnesses can range from Depression to lack of mobility. Once on sickness benefit you transfer to Incapacity benefit,then make your applications for Disability Living Allowance and Mobility. You would probably end up with a better monthly income than your previous salary.
