               I went to scholl during the Eisenhower Administration and can remember when they screwed up the Pledge Of Allegience.

               Of course if was possible to know about Dashiell Hammett, all one had to do was to read the credits on the movie, "The Maltese Falcon" very cafefully. All I'm saying is, he was kept out of the public schools--at least where I lived--and the way things were where at that time and place, if one didn't hear about him in school, one probably would never hear of him.
