In the UK I think you'd be advised to argue that this was a case of "constructive dismissal", because of the way your employers treated you (eg being required to do unpaid extra hours.) But then it's a different legal system - eg "the tribunal chairman made a point that it is not illegal for an employer to not give vacations or paid holidays" - it would be illegal here.
