If that IS a volcano brewing, a nuclear waste dump downrange will probably be a good thing. Along with burying the middle section of our country under anywhere from a couple of feet to a couple of hundred feet of ash and glass that will bury the spent nuke stuff too. Probably long enough that several half-lifes will have come and gone before (if ever) it sees the light of day. The Mammoth Crater blast covered almost the entire continent and the Yellowstone Caldera has the potential to do even worse. I sure hope it is NOT a volcano.
