I was DEEP in classes in Philosophy in Kansas, trying to finish my long-delayed college degree and keep some bread on the table by working a part-time job. Read about the riots, and saw bits of it on TV, but didn't even have a good TV set. I don't think I realized the scope of it all for several years.
