He was living in north London in late 1972 - I got to know his then-partner briefly when we taught at the same school, and I visited them once in (?)Priory Road. Amazing talent, and yes, a very nice guy, totally unaffected. I remember seeing his name around various London venues - he used to play at the Three Horsehoes in Hampstead, among other gigs, and probably the Troub too. I'm astonished he didn't become the huge name he deserved to be. (Not pushy enough, maybe?) Anybody have any more recent info?
