I'm out here in Texas but I grew up just north of Sarasota in Largo. Sarasota's a great place. There's a great Salvador Dali museum up in St Petersburg if thats your taste. And if you want some good cuban food try one of the Colombia restaurants. There should still be one in Sarasota. Roger McGuinn lives up in St Pete beach and has been known to play in clubs around the area. Have a great time and use plenty of sunscreen.
