You know, I was thinking that exact thought. I don't know what McCain was thinking: Why do you think you do? It is logical that if his actions are not what a CONDITIONAL statement would lead one to think he would do, then the CONDITIONS may have changed- I DON"T KNOW- WHy do you think YOU do???<<

McCain's statement is what it is. He said he was against the tax cuts and said why. The reasons that he gave still exist. He has not repudiated the statement. He has not given the reasons that you credit him with. the reasons you gave came from your head and your head only. While the fact that McCain is running for President and has no chance of winning without the Republican base is plain and apparent for all to see.

You can say that your opinion is valid until the cows come home. You have your right to your opinion. If your opinion of McCain is backed only by you own vague, unsupported feelings of what a fine man he is, while his own actions belie that opinion, then your opinion is not going to carry much weight with others.
