"How about a low-cost option for those who don't care much for alcohol?"
Most cards are still on the table at this point. That's why my info is mushy.
I'm not a big drinker myself, so the open bar holds little charm for me. It's important to others.
One of the things that just left me very cold about the other cruise was that the destinations clearly had a sweetheart deal to benefit the cruise line. ( One port, presented as a Mayan village, was basically a shopping center and strip mall with Mayan motiffs. They talked up the small pyramid at the edge of town, but only the ground level of stone was real. The rest was built for the tourists, but made to look aged. You could see real ruins, but only after passing the gauntlet of stores selling crappy gold and stuff you would see at any gift shop back home.)
By staying in one interesting port, we believe that our fans will have a better chance for a quality experience. Three days in port should give enough time for fun. I know I'll be looking for Bermudan Fisherman shanties and pink sand beaches.
