I've just been listening to Desmond Carrington's show on BBC Radio 2 and was amazed to hear a record of Vera Lynn singing Tom Paxton's song " Whose Garden was This " Absolutely astonishing both because I couldn't imagine Vera Lynn singing a Tom Paxton song and also because in my opinion it was a stunning version which made the song come alive for me.
