Republican administrations in the most recent decades have tended to leave the economy and the general state of affairs in worse condition that they found them. National debt has increased, no energy policy, no planning for the future and now with mounting debt, declining dollar and still no energy solutions in sight, I cannot help but worry a bit what lies ahead for retired folk like me with modest savings and for my children. Yes, we can have some influence on what lies ahead, but the USA has tended to be better off with periodic changes in government.
