Who is Caryl on your CD? She has a great voice. Really rich in character and that is a nice touch for the backup singing role she played on your album. I love your 5 string banjo player too. Very nice package and artwork too.

I love the track too - and it's funny to me that 150+ years after she's passed I developed a real personal attachment to Kate Cumming, the Scottish immigrant who inspired the Chickahominy song. She talked with pride about her Scottish heritage and her appreciation for her Irish cousins - mentions some of the song and dance experiences from chance encounters among the war travels (with fellow Scottish or Irish immigrant Confederates).
